Taylor Post is a theatre artist, production technician, and designer whose work centers on creating meaningful experiences through light, storytelling, and human connection. Based in North Texas, Taylor has built a career in live entertainment by combining technical expertise with a passion for artistic collaboration. Whether programming lighting for a theatrical production, installing systems in performance venues, or supporting live events, Taylor believes every detail contributes to the audience's experience.

After discovering a love for theatre, Taylor pursued a degree in Theatre Design and Production with a concentration in lighting design. Throughout college, they gained experience in a wide range of production roles, including lighting programming, rigging, projection design, scenic design, and stage electrics. These opportunities reinforced a simple philosophy: successful productions are built through teamwork, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning.

Professionally, Taylor works as a lighting technician and programmer, contributing to theatre productions, auditoriums, conventions, and live events throughout Texas. Their experience ranges from assisting with university productions to supporting professional venues and traveling to install and commission lighting systems. Every project presents a new creative and technical challenge, and Taylor enjoys finding practical solutions while maintaining a focus on artistic intent. They are especially interested in the intersection of technology and design, exploring how lighting can influence emotion, guide attention, and transform a space.

Beyond technical theatre, Taylor is passionate about visual storytelling through photography, graphic design, and digital media. They enjoy documenting the creative process and producing content that highlights the craftsmanship behind live entertainment. By combining design principles with emerging technologies, Taylor strives to make technical work more accessible and engaging for audiences both inside and outside the theatre industry.

This commitment to creativity extends into Taylor's personal mission: to live with intention, creativity, and compassion while encouraging others to find beauty in everyday moments. They believe that creativity is more than artistic expression, that it is a way of approaching challenges with curiosity, empathy, and purpose. Whether designing a lighting cue, creating visual content, or collaborating with a production team, Taylor aims to cultivate environments where people feel inspired, supported, and connected.

Looking ahead, Taylor hopes to continue expanding their career in theatrical lighting, production technology, and design while exploring opportunities to work on larger-scale live entertainment projects. They are committed to lifelong learning, embracing new technologies, and creating experiences that leave lasting impressions. For Taylor, the most rewarding part of any production is the moment when technical precision and artistic vision come together to tell a story that resonates with an audience.
